Cornwall Beach Shack

A small summery beach house is one of my most desired properties. I’m from a small seaside village and love being by the sea so would love to own a house like this one day. This house is in Cornwall, a town famous for its surf and somewhere I’d really like to visit. It’s not a massive house or that spacious, but I love the design and chilled out feel about it and love how it’s so close to the beach. It only has one bedroom and one bathroom so can only really sleep two, but it looks a very cosy place so is ideal for a couple. (Click on images to enlarge).
The layout of this house is quite unusual. As you can see from the overview above, the house is split into two separate buildings. This is the living room, which is also part of the kitchen/dining room. I love the exposed wooden beams and white painted wooden paneling on the walls.
You can see the kitchen and dining area in this photo, which have a very bright look about them. I love the door leading out onto the decking area, making the space seem much bigger. I really like the white and blue colour scheme with the dark wood flooring.
I love the split barn style door they’ve used in this house.
The bedroom and bathroom in this house are located in the other building. I really like this room as it’s very bright, has plenty space, and like the kitchen, has a door leading out to decking. I love the dark wood flooring and the colour scheme used.
The bathroom is basically an en suite, and as the place only sleeps two people, having to go through the bedroom to get to it shouldn’t be too much of a problem. I like the style of this bathroom, with its earthy colours and simple design.
I love the outside of this house. It’s so simple and bright and very welcoming. It has an amazing decking area, ideal for entertaining guests. I love the stone steps going up to the kitchen/living room and the small stone wall that runs against the wood. Here are a few photos of the garden area and outside of the property.
