Australia’s Nature Home

October 31, 2011 § Leave a comment

Within the state of Queensland Australia, this beautiful home is hidden away in the trees. Winner of Queensland’s home of the year in 2007, it’s a building full of spectacular design and character. The house is mainly open plan, featuring many levels and platforms separated by modern staircases and internal railings. It has three bedroom, three bathrooms and even gardens inside.  There are wooden floors throughout with plenty of natural earthy colours and features. (Click images to enlarge).

This property has an interesting exterior. There’s a lot of wood which gives the property a natural look about it, and fits in nicely with its surroundings.

In this picture you can see the layout of the home. The property is very open plan and there are many small living areas. I love the unusual set-up of this house and especially love the large windows that bring plenty of natural light in. You can see the interior gardens on the bottom floor that give the home a tropical appearance.

Interior Overview

This particular sitting area has amazing views of the sea. The room has minimal features and looks extremely relaxing.

Sitting Area

The kitchen in this house is very clean and fresh looking, with white worktops throughout.  There’s no dining area in this house so the breakfast bar is used for that purpose.

Here’s the master bedroom in this property. I love this room. I love how it leads out to the balcony, and has a very airy feel about it. The wooden floors add to the nature theme in the house.

This is the main bathroom. Its a very spacious room. My favourite feature is the raised bath with steps leading up to it. I also love the free standing sink area which is quite unusual.

One of my favourite things about this house are the many balconies which appear as part of almost every room in the house. This balcony has a nice outdoor dining area and great views.

The pool area in this property looks amazing and a great place to cool down in the hot Australian sun. I would love if this was my back garden!
